PRO FREERIDER MATT HUNTER CAME TO RIDE WITH US!

Matt Hunter, a pro freerider that appears in almost all the new videos like The Collective, ROAM, New World Disorder and Stripped came to Peru and we took him on a special tour.

He came with 3 more friends without knowing the type of trails and just for 7 days. When they rode the first trail, inmediately they started thinking to change they return tickets and they stayed for almost one month.

We started the tour in Lima riding short trails near the ocean and also the big ones on the Andes near Lima. Everything was perfect, Matt Hunter and his friends were enjoying plenty the rides. Each ride was better than the other.

Then we started driving to Cusco and after stopping on the Nazca lines to take some pictures we crossed the Andes with our unit and reached Abancay where we stayed for one day to ride some downhill trails there. You can see that we were open to try the local food like corn with cheese.

In Abancay we simply had a blast on our mountain bikes. With the help of local mountain bikers, they showd us their best trails in town and we were amazed with the beauty of the trails and the landscapes. Everyting is so natural deep into the Andes that we started to feel like locals.

After some good riding in Lima and Abancay we finally reached Cusco. The "Apus" or the Sacred Mountains were with us. We didn't find rain the days we were in Cusco and we had the opportunity to ride all the trails we wanted to ride. We went to the Megavalanche course in Malaga, make some cross country (freeride) trails near Ollantaytambo, ride in Maras, Chinchero, Lares, Moray, Yuncaypata and so many trails to remember now. We had the opportunity also to race a Megavalanche type race in Cusco where Matt Hunter raced and got the 4th place.

By this time we were riding our bikes for about two weeks and we decided to continue our tour going to the Colca Canyon and then to Puerto Inka on the Pacific Ocean. We had the chance to see the Condor flying on its matural habitat and observe the greatness of nature with the deepest canyon on earth. We had a relaxing swim on the best hot springs of Peru, located on the Colca Canyon, and then we continued our trip to the coast.

It seems that it was going to be everything but after riding in Puerto Inca, Matt Hunter said that the tour is not over yet and he wanted to go to Huaraz!

So, we reached Lima after we were in Puerto Inka and inmediately we continued our trip to Huaraz. We meet there with Rudy and he showed us more incredible trails. By that time we were a little bit tired and almost rid of our bikes but the greatness of Huaraz made us feel like we were on the first day of the tour.

Finally after 25 days of riding in Peru, Matt Hunter and his friends returnes to Canada. They took from Peru their best mountain bike experience. "It was my best mountain bike trip I have ever made" replied everybody. We feel happy to hear that from Matt Hunter and that gave us a lot more energy to continue doing these type of tours.

Special thanks to Matt hunter, Chris Cooper, Rob Butt and Alan Gillespie that came to Peru and selected Inkas Adventures for their mountain bike trip! See you next time guys!
