Our team is made up of experienced, top-ranked mountain bikers. Our guides have years of experience leading groups and are trained in first aid. Together, they hold more than 19 Peruvian National Championship titles.

With two decades of experience and deep local knowledge, we know where to find the best trails. We also know how to make every trip safer, more authentic, and more memorable.

About Wayo Stein

Wayo Stein is the founder of Inkas Adventures and a lifelong mountain biker. He has been riding and racing bikes since he was a kid. For decades, mountain biking has been his passion and a way of life.

Wayo is a 14-time Peruvian National Downhill Champion. He also won a bronze medal at the UCI Downhill Masters World Championships and became the first and only Peruvian rider to reach the Elite podium at the UCI Downhill Pan-American Championships.

But racing is only part of Wayo’s story. He is constantly exploring new trails, discovering new lines, and searching for better ways to experience Peru by bike. This passion for exploration drives Inkas Adventures to keep discovering incredible places and creating unforgettable mountain bike experiences.

Safety, Gear and Equipment

Mountain biking is about adventure, challenge, and having fun on the trails—but it also comes with inherent risks. Mechanical problems, crashes, difficult terrain, getting lost, or even road incidents can turn a great ride into a serious situation. That’s why safety, preparation, and reliable equipment have always been a priority at Inkas Adventures.

From the beginning, we have focused on providing safe and well-organized mountain bike adventures throughout Peru. Our fleet includes modern buses, minibuses, and 4×4 vehicles driven by experienced and professional drivers, allowing us to reach remote trails and transport our riders and bikes safely.

Our guides are experienced mountain bikers, many of whom continue to compete in local and national races. They know how to handle challenging terrain, support riders of different abilities, and respond when something unexpected happens.

Every guide carries essential safety and trail equipment, including first-aid supplies, two-way radios, GPS devices with the route loaded, tools, spare parts, and other essential gear. We are prepared to deal with mechanical problems on the trail, from brake issues and flat tires to more serious repairs. Over the years, we have even managed to get riders back on the trail after broken frames and other major mechanical failures.
