At Inkas Adventures, Enduro is much more than another category of mountain bike tour. It is one of the disciplines we know best.
Our experience comes from decades of riding and racing Downhill and exploring Peru by bike. We have spent years searching for new trails, connecting different routes, discovering forgotten paths, and developing riding experiences in some of the most remote areas of the country.
We also organized the first Enduro race in Peru, giving us a unique connection to the development of the discipline in the country.
Enduro is about the complete mountain biking experience.
You climb under your own power, traverse the mountains, navigate technical terrain, and then enjoy long and challenging descents. Unlike a pure Downhill ride, the climb is part of the adventure—and often takes you to places that would be impossible to experience any other way.
Peru is particularly special for Enduro because the terrain changes constantly.
A single ride can take you from high-altitude Andean landscapes and rocky mountain passes to ancient trails, agricultural valleys, cloud forests, and warmer environments lower in the mountains.
The altitude, terrain, vegetation, and weather can change dramatically during the same ride, creating an experience that keeps challenging you from start to finish.
One of the greatest attractions of Enduro riding in Peru is our network of ancient mountain trails.
Some of these paths were built and used centuries ago and continue to connect communities and valleys today. They have evolved naturally over time, shaped by weather, erosion, local use, and the landscape itself.
These are not manicured bike-park trails.
You may encounter loose rocks, exposed sections, roots, steps, water crossings, eroded terrain, tight switchbacks, natural drops, and countless possible lines.
There is rarely just one perfect line.
You have to read the terrain, think quickly, adapt to the trail, and choose your own way down.
That is what makes Enduro in Peru so exciting.
At Inkas Adventures, we are constantly exploring.
Over the years, we have ridden and investigated routes throughout Peru, looking for new trails, ancient paths, forgotten roads, and connections between valleys.
This experience allows us to combine different sections and create Enduro rides that are not simply standard tourist routes.
We know where to find the technical sections, the flowing descents, the challenging climbs, the hidden trails, and the places where the landscape suddenly opens up in front of you.

Wayo Stein, founder of Inkas Adventures, is a 14-time Peruvian National Downhill Champion and has won bronze medals at the 2010 UCI Masters Downhill World Championships and the 2001 Pan-American MTB Championships (Elite).
Our team has spent years racing, riding, guiding, and exploring technical mountain terrain.
That experience matters when you are riding raw and demanding trails. We understand how to read the terrain, select the right routes for different riding levels, and help riders make better decisions when the trail gets challenging.
If you want to improve your riding, we can also help you develop skills such as line selection, cornering, braking, body position, technical climbing, and descending.

Many of our routes pass through rural communities where traditional ways of life remain closely connected to the land. You may meet local farmers, see traditional agriculture, and experience a side of Peru that most visitors never encounter.
Sometimes the most memorable moments happen between the trails. A conversation with a local family, a stop at a small community, or even being offered freshly cooked potatoes from a nearby farm can become part of the adventure.
We believe these encounters should happen naturally and respectfully. We ride through these communities as guests, respecting local people, their traditions, their land, and their way of life.
