Huaraz is the gateway to the Cordillera Blanca, one of the most impressive mountain ranges in the Andes.
This is home to Huascarán, the highest mountain in Peru, rising to 6,768 meters (22,205 ft) above sea level. Surrounding it is an extraordinary landscape of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, high-altitude valleys, turquoise lakes, rocky mountains, and remote Andean communities.
For mountain bikers, Huaraz offers something truly special: high-altitude riding in one of the most dramatic landscapes in South America.
The Huaraz region has been inhabited for thousands of years. Long before the Inca Empire, ancient Andean civilizations developed throughout these mountains, leaving behind archaeological sites, roads, trails, and cultural traditions that continue to be part of the region today.
Many of the paths we ride connect remote valleys and communities and have been used for generations.

The terrain around Huaraz is incredibly diverse.
Depending on the route, you can experience high-altitude dirt roads, ancient mountain paths, rocky singletracks, steep climbs, technical descents, open highland landscapes, remote valleys, and fast-flowing sections.
The altitude adds another dimension to the experience. Many of our rides take place well above 3,000 meters, with some routes reaching significantly higher elevations.
